Merriam and Caffarella will receive the 2009 Malcolm Knowles Memorial Award at the 2009 Symposium.

The 2009 International Symposium on Self-Directed Learning will definitely be one you won't want to miss!! We are hoping that Huey Long will present the keynote address, as usual, and Sharan Merriam and Rosemary Caffarella will be joint recipients of the Malcolm Knowles Award and will present a session. Many other outstanding authors and researchers in SDL will be presenting as well, including previous Knowles Award winners Ralph Brockett, Maurice Gibbons, and Lucy and Paul Guglielmino. We will update this list as additional proposals are received.
